“The Battle of Saratoga” – The turning Point of the American Revolution – ended in Schuylerville New York with the USD/JPY surrender of the British forces on October 17th, 1777. It was “Old Saratoga’s” strategic position on the Hudson River, the most important trade route of its day, that brought the British to town. The river also brought great agricultural and industrial riches that followed in the ensuing years.
